David H. Jones
David Jones is a litigation partner with broad experience defending corporate clients against claims involving toxic tort/mass tort, products liability, and premises liability in state and federal courts. For more than a decade, he has defended nationally prominent equipment and product manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and premises owners in various forums, with a special focus on the New York City Asbestos Litigation (NYCAL).
David regularly litigates cases against plaintiffs or their estates claiming personal injury or wrongful death due to plaintiffs’/decedents’ alleged exposures to asbestos in settings as diverse as chemical plants, refineries, powerhouses, factories, laboratories, shipyards, paper mills, commercial buildings, schools, jewelry-making studios, and residential homes. He routinely serves as lead counsel at multi-defendant depositions and participates in all pre-trial and trial proceedings. David and other firm partners collaborate with the most respected defense experts in their relative medical, scientific and professional fields, including industrial hygiene, epidemiology, pathology, pulmonary medicine, and forensic economics to develop the most effective defenses to secure favorable results for our clients.
David also works closely with corporate clients to resolve complex discovery demands involving investigation and research into historical product lines and business activities, asset and liability transfer agreements, and subsidiary sales and acquisitions, and to develop successor liability and product defenses.
Prior to entering private practice, David served four years as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County where he prosecuted and tried to verdict a broad range of misdemeanor and felony cases.
