Salia Khwaja is an associate at Malaby working on many stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery demands and responses.
Prior to working at Malaby, Salia worked at a general litigation firm handling a wide range of civil litigation matters, including labor/employment, immigration, contract disputes and family law cases.
While in law school, Salia was a student attorney at the Hofstra Asylum Clinic representing asylum applicants at immigration hearings or interviews before the Department of Homeland Security. She also worked in the Hofstra Law Immigration Clinic providing direct services for various immigration applications and Hofstra Youth Advocacy Clinic representing youth in special immigrant juvenile matters and child maltreatment cases. Salia interned with the New York Legal Assistance Group assisting in family offense, custody, child support, and divorce matters.
